Kanouff, Yvette

Yvette Kanouff is a recognized leader in the service provider industry, who is credited for moving the industry toward software and web-centric, open standards-based solutions and architectures. Kanouff's business leadership and technical acumen have earned her numerous awards and accolades during her 20+-year career, including a Technical Emmy and many patents for her work in digital technologies. She received the National Cable and Telecommunications Association's Vanguard Award for Leadership in Science and Technology in 2014, and was named an Industry Pioneer in 2016. She has been named one of the most influential and powerful women in the telecommunications industry by numerous organizations and media companies.

As Cisco's Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Service Provider Business, Kanouff heads a team of more than 6,000 to develop and deliver technology innovations that are leading the disruption in the industry and transforming service providers worldwide. She joined Cisco in 2014 to lead the company's Service Provider Video Software and Solutions Group, and then headed up Cisco's Cloud Solutions Group prior to her current role.

Before joining Cisco, Kanouff served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Engineering and Technology at Cablevision Systems, Inc., now part of Altice USA, the fourth largest Service Provider in the U.S. Previously, she was President of SeaChange International, where she spearheaded its transition from a hardware-centric organization to a software-based company. Earlier in her career, she served as Director of Interactive Technologies at Time Warner Cable, and began her career in digital signal processing technologies at Lockheed Martin.

Kanouff is an executive member of Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT), a senior member and past president of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). She speaks at industry and business events around the globe, and is involved in industry-leading technology initiatives.

Kanouff holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in mathematics. She is a big video gamer, loves to hike, read, fish and spend time with her family.
